https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103158
Summary
[v8] 12% regression in DOMDivWalk
Ojan Vafai
Reported
2012-11-23 12:09:10 PST
http://build.chromium.org/f/chromium/perf/linux-release-webkit-latest/dom_perf/report.html?rev=169505&graph=DOMDivWalk&trace=score&history=50
Regression range:
http://trac.webkit.org/log/?verbose=on&rev=135489&stop_rev=135478
http://trac.webkit.org/changeset/135479/
seems like the most likely culprit to me.

It's hard for me to see how
http://trac.webkit.org/changeset/135479
could have caused this regression, but we can roll it out to be sure.

Note:
http://trac.webkit.org/changeset/135479
was rolled out in
http://trac.webkit.org/changeset/135484
, so that cycle of the bot didn't actually see the patch. The patch landed again in
http://trac.webkit.org/changeset/135601
(and the bot didn't move). Looks like we need a new culprit.

Very strange. Nothing looks obviously relevant.

Turns out this is Chromium side. I don't see how that's possible, but it regresses on the chromium bots at the different webkit revisions. Filed
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=162505
.
