Created attachment 172415 [details] test case +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #99264 +++ This *may* be a dup, but: * I cannot reproduce the problem from the opening report of bug 99264 in the Gtk port. * Regarding the test case I'm attaching, the text isn't wrong; it's not visible. - 100% reproducible on the Gtk port of two systems - 0% reproducible in Chromium (from package) on the same two systems - 0% reproducible in the Mac port Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch GtkLauncher and do NOT resize the window 2. View the attached test case 3. While viewing the test case, use the mouse to slowly resize the window Expected results: At steps 2 and 3, "iWork" would appear on every line. Actual results: At step 2, "iW" appears on every line. At step 3, the "ork" instances pop in and out of view. As you may have guessed, the real-world test case is icloud.com. When viewing that site in Epiphany, I can make the "ork" as well as "eminders" blink in and out of existence by Ctrl+=, Ctrl+-, and window resizing.

Martin pinged me to try this again, suggesting that the switch to harfbuzz might have resulted in the problem being fixed. Sure enough, I can no longer repro it. WORKSFORMEing it.
