Inside settings the orientation values are three text boxes, however valid values have set ranges
http://dev.w3.org/geo/api/spec-source-orientation.html#rotations

We can offer range sliders to allow for a more usable experience.

The 3D object GUI proposed in issue 101797 is a better choice, I'd say.
