I am running Lion version 10.7.4 build 11E53.
After updating to WebKit Version 5.1.7 (7534.57.2, r121249) a problem has surfaced which causes Voiceover to become unresponsive after the following steps.
1) Turn VoiceOver on.
2) Launch Webkit.
3) Go to the Apple Website www.apple.com.
4) Exit WebKit with CMD-Q.
At this point keyboard entry goes away and one cannot execute any Voiceover commands. If one waits a couple of minutes, one can CMD-Tab to the finder or another app and VoiceOver is active. However if one Alt-Tabs back to the still attempting to quit WebKit window, VoiceOver Freezes again.
It seems as if the keyboard becomes unresponsive.
The only way to quit WebKit at this point is with Force-Quit.
