Even though major ports all ship with SQLite, requiring SQLite significantly increases the burden of porters since there are many operating systems and platforms where SQLite isn't available.

I'm not really convinced we should fix this bug. Perhaps we should discuss it on webkit-dev. Ideally, the person who actually wants this feature would speak up rather than talking through a proxy.

Raising it on webkit-dev sounds like a good idea. Will do.
