Thank you for the report. Could you please add details about your configuration (software and hardware)? Is there any way for us to reproduce this? Opening udemy.com, I don't see any videos that would be free to play. Let me set up a scenario that makes it easy to reproduce and get back to you. Not sure if I can reproduce using the free videos. Here is an example of the issue raised. The behavior is not reproducible in Chrome or other browsers.
The only way to get the playback interaction to work again is to reload the page. Let me know if there's anything else I can do. PS Initially reported while using a 2018 i5 macMini w/ 32GB RAM & 512GB SSD Also tested on a 2015 Core i7 MacBook Air w/ 8GB RAM & 512GB SSD Screen capture recorded using a 2020 8CPU/8GPU M1 MacBook Air w/ 16GBs RAM & 512GB SSD Thank you for the update.
