Bug 208142

Summary: Setting <video> playbackRate causes video playback disruption
Product: WebKit Reporter: Jerry Jongerius <jerryj>
Component: MediaAssignee: Nobody <webkit-unassigned>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE

Version: Safari 13
Hardware: iPhone / iPad
OS: iOS 13

1. Visit https://www.w3.org/2010/05/video/mediaevents.html 2. Press "Bunny Movie" button 3. Press "Play()" button 4. Every time "PlaybackRate+=0.1" button is pressed, video playback is disrupted for a split second. When an external slider is configured to set video playback rate, all that results during slider movement is that the video is mostly paused (whereas on Windows/Chrome, the video is still playing 100% of the time, just that speed is transparently changing -- which is the desired outcome).
