Downloading a bzip2-encoded dmg -served as application/octet-stream using Safari/Webkit results in a .bz2 file that cannot be opened correctly. Removing -in the Finder- the .bz2 extension (leaving one with a .dmg extension) allows the user to proceed.

2. download
3. go over to the Finder attempt to open the downloaded .dmg
4. Weep
