Component: Page LoadingAssignee: Nobody <webkit-unassigned>
Status: RESOLVED INVALID
Severity: Minor CC: dev+webkit, webkit
Priority: P2

Reported 2007-10-15 18:45:46 PDT
https://reader.google.com reports that it cannot verify the identity of reader.google.com. If I click "continue", it directs me to www.google.com, which is not Google Reader. Bug also occurs in latest build of Leopard, OS X 10.5. Sorry I can't offer any more technical information, but I'm not a web developer so I don't have the faintest clue what you would be interested in knowing :(

Please provide more information. See Bug 15526 Comment #1 for the type of information required. Also, please note that you should be using https://bugreport.apple.com/ for Leopard seed bugs (even if it's a WebKit bug) unless you can also reproduce the bug in a WebKit nightly build.

Using Safari 3.0.3 Beta (latest release from Apple's Software Update), OS X 10.4.10. I am running nightly build # 26620 My friend who verified that this bug is reproducible on other machines is running the same nightly build as I am on the same release of Safari. This bug does not occur with http://reader.google.com , only with https://reader.google.com . Hope I've covered all the bases :-/

This happens for me in Firefox and Opera so this sounds like it's something on Google's end.

Odd…it was my homepage and loaded fine until tonight; google must be farting around at their end.
