It seems an invert it being applied to the SVG. This might be a WebKit bug on retina. Note: we are animating opacity here.
.toolbar .dashboard.default > .item.pulsing {
-webkit-animation-name: console-item-pulse;
-webkit-animation-duration: 0.75s;
}
@-webkit-keyframes console-item-pulse {
50% { opacity: 0.6; }
}
Trying to make a reduction and it isn't reproducing in a simple case. Will need to look are what else we are doing that might trigger this. It is clearly bad rendering on WebKit's part — we don't have use this blue nor invert filters. Created attachment 261199 [details]

Disabling accelerated drawing does make it go away. This is still relevant. This bug is below webkit. I reproduced it on OS X El Capitan, but I can't reproduce on macOS X Sierra. |
Created attachment 257371 [details] Screenshot Loading apple.com on a retina machine, I see the warning icon briefly go blue when new warnings come in. I do not see this when I am using a non-retina screen. See attached screenshot.
