The Windows/Cairo port suffered a major regression in r23462 when it was (inadvertently?) removed from SVN in revision 23462. This is a blocker for continued development of the Windows/Cairo port.
I'm not sure if the Win port has been actively maintained in the last few weeks but the Cairo and Curl backends which the port uses are rapidly improving so it may be sensible to restore this code.
Can we do this without losing the SVN history of the port and without causing much hassle for the new Win port? We may need to look into a new naming convention for the (original) port in order not to disrupt the new one. It will also be worth seeing how much code can be shared between the two Windows ports once the original work is restored.

This removal was intentional. If someone wants to step up to put it back, though, that's fine.

Is there any sense in having a bug tracking this? People are working on a Windows port using Cairo and Curl, and there does not appear to be any specific action that would resolve this bug.

The Win/Cairo port is back. Closing.
