The underline on the hovered nytimes.com headline "A New Day, and More G.O.P. Victories" looks offset to the right; it doesn't fully go under the A and sticks out to the right.

Style is:

font-family: nyt-cheltenham, georgia, 'times new roman', times, serif;
font-size: 56px;
font-style: italic;
font-weight: bold;
height: auto;
letter-spacing: 0.5600000023841858px;
line-height: 64px;
text-align: center;
text-decoration: none;
width: auto;
word-spacing: -5.599999904632568px;

When calculating underline skipping locations, we don't take synthetic italics into account
Comment 3 Simon Fraser (smfr) 2014-11-19 10:56:58 PST
But this isn't about skipping, it's about the ends of the underline.
Comment 4 Myles C. Maxfield 2014-11-19 14:45:01 PST
Oh. Right.
