I've noticed it so far only on Livejournal update pages with large text areas. Single-line text fields don't seem to replicate this. If you type out text in a text area and reach the bottom of the area, white blanks can be seen where you hit the spacebar. Trivial cosmetic problem.

Sounds like this may be a dupe of bug 11966?

Also, apparently it's not just spaces but also some characters.
