I was not able to reproduce.  But I'm at least giving this a slightly more accurate title, and regression keyword.

There are reproducible cases of this ATSUConvertCharToGlyphs crash (see bug 8717).

It's only a P1 if we can reproduce it. It's not necessarily a regression if we can't reproduce it.

what's the reason we're not marking this a dup of bug 8717. traces not similar enough?

Alice, how do you handle this in Radar? IMHO this should be closed as invalid, since the most probable cause of the crash is an extension.
