Hard to describe better than that. The map is a lot more usable under Firefox; and the behaviour of this map under WebKit seems to have changed over the last few days; previously it had controls but no map, suddenly it's got map but no controls... And at least once today, I've had it kill off webkit without a crash report. r12786 nightly.
Check out the console log -- you may have hit an assertion failure.
No; no assertions reported in the console; and strange rendering behaviour with some of the text below the map area on scroll. r12837 now.
Sidenote; also no exceptions in the javascript console.
I can reproduce both problems. Missing controls is a regression, thus P1. Incomplete rendering of text also happens with a stock Safari 2.0.3. These two problems need to be tracked separately, so a new bug needs to be filed for one of them. I suggest to track the first problem (regression) here.

Clicking checkboxes at the right (to show herbs etc.) crashes stock 10.4.5 Safari. Doesn't crash ToT, but doesn't display anything either.
Adding GoogleBug keyword in one big change.
The controls (zoom and directionals overlaid in upper left corner) appear for me. r 15608
Works for me, too (we'll need a separate bug for the text rendering, see comment 2). I cannot get resources displayed by clicking checkboxes at the right - but same in Firefox, so maybe there just aren't any resources at all :)
I cannot reproduce any problems with current TOT, closing as WORKSFORME.
OK, IMO, closing this feels awfully misleading, as the site in question is still very, very broken. - Hand cursor when hovering over controls has what I can only describe as garbage towards the bottom of the cursor itself, and the top part is cut off. - First load of the page results in a completely broken map and non-functional controls. - Page refresh using reload button makes the map functional. Either this ought to be reopened, or new bugs ought to be created for these issues. Which would you prefer?
And, controls are occasionally giving me selection boxes, to boot - dragging the slider resulted in the selection box appearing around the slider, and staying there.
Each issue should have an individual bug. (The garbage hand cursor is a known bug with Image I/O's .cur file decoding, so it's outside the scope of WebKit and doesn't need to be filed in the public bug database.)
