In the docked mode, the console is less usable than in the windowed mode. If you reduce it to see a pane, you can only see three lines. If you increase it, you can only see there lines in the pane.

The console should behave differently in docked view. I was thinking about an extra pane for the console. This will give a big place but this will also delete the whole interest of the console : seeing it and the pane at the same time.

My other thought is to put the console on the right of every pane. You keep the "see everywhere" behaviour but you lose some place for the pane and it might be difficult to use on small screens.

Another option would be:

Have a new panel called "Console History" or something like that which basically looks just like the Console does now. But in every panel you'd also have a single line of input and a single line of output at the bottom of the window.

The docked window is now resizable on both Mac and Windows, is this an issue with that new development?

Not new to resizing. You could make it happen by having a tall console before docking.

You can now make the console take up the primary view, so this seems like only an issue if you use the mini-console.
