Summary cannot enter bookmarks view when tab/window is viewing Google Reader

Reported 2008-04-21 08:45:05 PDT
I've noticed in Webkit r32284 that if I'm browsing Google Reader page, I'm not able to enter into the Bookmark view. The bookmark view will display for a second or less and the page is quickly refreshed and Google Reader is loaded. While I can reproduce the issue every time with the steps listed bellow, I haven't been able to reproduce this same behavior on any other JavaScript heavy Google Sites including Gmail, Calendar, and Documents. Steps to reproduce: 1) Browse to http://www.google.com/reader/view/ 2) Click on Bookmarks in the bookmark bar

Though this involves bookmarks view, which is a Safari feature, it does sound like a WebKit issue rather than a Safari issue.

(In reply to comment #1) > Though this involves bookmarks view, which is a Safari feature, it does sound > like a WebKit issue rather than a Safari issue. > I think the reported issue is the problem in WebKit engine. After disabling JavaScript I haven't got any problem to open Bookmarks using the button from Bookmark bar. So I can confirm the issue in the latest WebKit r34382 for OS X.

The issue is also visible in stock Safari 3.1.1 for OS X, but not visible in Safari 3.1.1 for Windows.
