Summary
DSL Modem Locks up after sleep mode.

I am using a MacBook Pro with 2 megs of memory running Leopard 10.52. For about 3 weeks now, my modem exhibits the following symptoms after "Sleep" mode. These symptoms occur when trying to load new webpage/site: Modem Ethernet light is "on." Modem DSL light is "on." Modem "Transmit" light "off" (inactive) The modem locks up and I receive a message that I am not connected to the internet. The only way to reset the modem is by rebooting the computer; nothing else works, to reset. Could you build an "Automatic Modem Reset Check" into the software? In other words a mechanism that would reset the modem when ever a new webpage is requested. Not sure what caused this problem but it appeared about three weeks ago. Thank you. Mark A. Unfortunately, this appears to have nothing to do with WebKit.

If you believe this bug to be caused by some change in Apple's software, I suggest you report it at
http://radar.apple.com/
However, what information you have provided sofar is insufficient to actually diagnose the problem. I expect it's a bug in your DSL modem, and unrelated to any software you're running.

Update: Releoded original Safari installation that came with Tiger Software. Problem has disappeared. Webkit has a modem reset flaw that I cannot identify. So far, I am no longer encountering the modem lock-up problem. I reopened the bug to pass this new information to you. No further openings are planned. Thank you. Mark A. Gardner Las Vegas, Nevada.

Thank you! Could you please report this via <
http://radar.apple.com
>, as suggested by Eric? I could move the bug myself, but in this case, Apple engineers working on this issue wouldn't be able to contact you to ask for any additional details about the issue they may need. To report bugs via <
http://radar.apple.com
>, one can register for a free "Online" ADC membership. Closing as INVALID, as investigating this will require expertise of Apple engineers who work via Radar, not Bugzilla.
