Description scott 2008-02-19 15:50:26 PST
Since I moved to Leopard, I notice there is a scheduled request for TCP port 80 to www.washingtonpost.com

I have done a clean install, and can not track this down. While I have a feeling this has nothing to do with webkit, I have high hopes there is someone here who can at least explain to me what is going on, and ideally, how to stop it.

I ran grep -ir 'washingtonpost' / and found some pretty interesting stuff:
Binary file /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/BuiltInBookmarks.plist matches

I have one of these for every langauge there is as well:
/Applications/Safari.app/Contents/Resources/Italian.lproj/BuiltInBookmarks.plist: <string>feed://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/rss/linkset/2005/03/24/LI2005032400102.xml</string>

Thing is, I have deleted all my bookmarks, and as you can see, the grep command is finding no other matches. Why is pubSub calling these feeds?

PubSub is not part of WebKit. <rdar://problem/5687192>
