i have proxy sitting and user name when i try to log in the proxy server safari crashes 
version 3.0.4

Thanks for the bug report!  Can you provide any more details about the proxy server, such as the brand name and software version?

Do you have Visual Studio installed on Vista?  (If so, you could provide a stack trace of the crash.)

http://webkit.org/quality/crashlogs.html has information about how to retrieve a useful crash log.  Visual Studio is not required.  Without a crash log it's hard to investigate this issue.
