Summary Planet WebKit needs a nicer stylesheet

Reported 2007-11-30 22:58:49 PST
Planet WebKit <http://planet.webkit.org/> needs a nicer stylesheet. It would be great if it fit in with the rest of webkit.org, perhaps with a different color scheme. We might be able to draw inspiration from <http://nightly.webkit.org/>.

Created attachment 17632 [details] idea 1 Too similar to the main webkit.org?

This looks ok. But you are right, it might be too similar. I feel funny having the current WebKit icon on the page, since it has the Safari icon.

Comment on attachment 17632 [details] idea 1 I like it, personally, though perhaps the <h*> tags could be slightly darker for increased contrast. I think most of the <h*> tags on webkit.org have a slight text-shadow as well. But it looks great!

(In reply to comment #2) > I feel funny having the current WebKit icon on the page, since it has the Safari icon. Step 2: Put a globe in that box

Comment on attachment 17632 [details] idea 1 I really like that you reversed the order of article title/blog title. It's much more readable this way.

Created attachment 17687 [details] idea 2 Sorry for the delay, but what do you guys thing about this? (Maybe make all the links the darker blue, but that might make it look too similar to the black date headers?) (In reply to comment #5) > (In reply to comment #2) > > I feel funny having the current WebKit icon on the page, since it has the Safari icon. > > Step 2: Put a globe in that box > I didn't touch the logo as I was hoping someone had a layered photoshop file of the box or something. Either way, someone with more Photoshop skills (Tim :) might want to take care of that.

Comment on attachment 17687 [details] idea 2 I think we should go with this as soon as we have a non-Safari icon for this page. Care to make a patch for the rest of it?
