Summary <mask> using gradient fails

Reported 2007-11-21 12:37:16 PST
Voiced and Voiceless buttons and corresponding vocal chords image fail to function. Production Safari seems to do this right. This is probably an SVG problem, but it might well be JavaScript. I am running the WebKit that was most recently available as of 2007 Nov 21 12:15 PST It reported version 3.0.4 (5523.10) but so did the production Safari that came on the Leopard disk. I ran the two browsers concurrently which may be a problem. I will attach two .tiff images from the two browsers.

Odd. I don't actually see this working in Production Safari. So I can't confirm that it's a regression, but it does appear broken, regardless.

It appears to be entirely related to the gradient based mask. We'll need to build a reduced case.

I submitted the original bug. It turns out that the Safari that I was using was using the Adobe SVG PlugIn. This would explain comment #3. Sorry that I did not remember installing the plugin when I reported the bug.
