Description Robson 2007-08-08 13:33:50 PDT
When some web page is already loaded and Inspect Element is selected from right click menu, safari crashed. If Safari is just empty (no web page loaded), then it is possible to start Inspect Element and then load page - No crash.

Thanks for the bug report, Robson! Please attach a user.dmp file of the crash. Instructions for Windows are here:

http://webkit.org/quality/crashlogs.html

Does this happen on ever page, or just certain pages? Could you list the URLs where this happens, or a set of instructions on how to reproduce the issue?

To reproduct issue:
1. start sfari (webkit)
2. open any web page in safari e.g. www.macworld.com
3. right click on the screen
4. select Inspect Element
=> crash....
It crashed on any web page.

It doesn't crash when:
1. start safari (webkit)
2. right click on the screen
3. select Inspect element (then that window is open)
4. www.macworld.com
Everything is working till Inspect element window is closed and then again open => crash..

I can't get this to crash with my local build.
Comment 12 Matt Lilek 2008-02-08 14:58:26 PST
Are you still able to reproduce this crash?
Comment 13 Joseph Pecoraro 2009-10-20 21:43:43 PDT
Is this still reproducible? Its been quite a while, and I haven't run into a problem like this.
Comment 14 Brian Weinstein 2009-10-29 16:54:57 PDT
I've been doing most of my development on Windows, and haven't been able to reproduce this, doubt it is still an issue.
