RESOLVED FIXED

Korean characters are not displayed correctly on Safari Windows.

Summary
Korean characters are not displayed correctly on Safari Windows.
Dae San Hwang
Reported

When browsing Korean web sites, Korean characters are not displayed (at all) on Safari Windows. However, Chinese/Japanese sites have no such issues. This is a show stopper for Korean Windows users. I would be really happy, if WebKit team fixes this problem soon. :)

FWIW, this works for me on an US English Windows XP. What OS version are you using?

I'm using Korean Windows XP. I can confirm that this is a universal problem on Korean Windows(XP/2000/Vista). This has been reported on newspapers in Korea.

Can you try a nightly build and see if the fix for 14086 solves your problem?

I can't seem to unzip the nightly build archive. Maybe something went awry with automatic build/zip process?

Try downloading it again. We've seen the download stop prematurely on occasion.

I've tried downloading 5-6 times already. Zip archives for
r23540
,
r23553
seem to have corrupted.
r23529
unzips successfully but the rendering problem is still there. (In reply to

Copying bdash. Confirmed that WebKit-SVN-

.zip is corrupt when downloaded.

Hrm. Not sure what's up with the nightly coming down corrupted. Can you try again now?

Most recent nightly download(
r23677
) works fine and the rendering problem has finally gone away. Yay! (In reply to
