Summary
renderlayers scroll by less than a page upon PageUp/PageDown
Alice Liu
Reported

* SUMMARY I noticed that pressing pageup/down in an overflow div doesn't really scroll by a whole page. It seems to scroll by ~2 lines less than a whole page. This is different from FF behavior which scrolls by an entire page. * STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. open attached test case 2. focus the overflow div and press pagedown * RESULTS: screenshot shows Safari on Left, Firefox on Right, with initial state on top and results on bottom

I do not consider this a bug. This behavior is deliberate. If you page up/down main documents in Firefox, WinIE and Safari, you'll see that they all keep a few lines worth of text. This is done on purpose so that the user doesn't lose track of what they are reading while paging. We keep a little bit of the previous page so that they have some context regarding where they are. It is inconsistent for Firefox to do something different in overflow areas. WebKit's behavior is consistent with the main document case.
