Summary: Loading an uncached URL with a hash part does not cause the page to jump to the hash location once the page is loaded. Works in Firefox 2.0.0.1. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Safari/WebKit. 2. Empty cache with Cmd-Opt-E. 3. Open URL: http://validator.w3.org/#validate-by-upload Expected results: Page should jump down to #validate-by-upload section. Actual results: Page does not jump down to #validate-by-upload section. Regression: Shipping Safari 2.0.4 (419.3) on Mac OS X 10.4.8 (8N1037) does the same thing, so this is not a regression. Tested with a locally-built debug build of WebKit r19151 with Safari 2.0.4 (419.3) on Mac OS X 10.4.8 (8N1037). Notes: This may be a duplicate, but I couldn't find it with a cursory search.
