Using both the version of WebKit bundled with Mac OS X 10.4.7, and the nightly build of WebKit from 9-14-2006, a new CSS and JavaScript menu system implemented on www.livejournal.com renderes incorrectly. Elements are misaligned vertically, causing some text to clip under menus. The menus render correctly using FireFox 1.5.0.6. Additionally, the login box at the top-right of the menu on www.livejournal.com has square corners when rendered by WebKit, but radiused corners on the top, when using FireFox. The bottom corners are still square.

Changing component from CSS to New Bugs so this bug can get screened.
I couldn't reproduce the login page screenshot in TOT WebKit or in shipping Safari. The site may have changed, but it currently looks fine. The rounded corners are specified using Firefox's proprietary -moz-border-radius property and the proposed border-radius property. Neither property is supported in WebKit, however TOT WebKit supports the -webkit-border-radius property. Miles, thanks for reporting the bug! Are you still seeing incorrect layout on the login page? Could you check the "after logging in" page again?
Yes, I'm still seeing incorrect layout rendering, though not so much with regards to the login box - what continues to happen at this point is that text is getting clipped under the page heading, such as is shown in the "after logging in" screen shot..
I have created an account, and I also cannot reproduce this. The site looks quite different - e.g., there's no "News update" to be obscured. Could you please attach a new screenshot?
By the way, I saw some incorrect layout on this site because it doesn't specify some font sizes - with a default of Times/18pt, the user menu (dark blue) partially obscures the links above it! Changing the default to Times/14pt made it fully match Firefox.
The site doesn't look like this anymore so there's no way to tell, but it seems likely that this was just a font sizing issue
