It is not possible to select any text with the mouse on http://www.scholars4dev.com/2979/erasmus-mundus-scholarships-for-developing-countries/ 
If you press Ctrl+A, it will select the whole page, and you won’t be able to lose the selection by clicking on an empty area…

Tested with QtWebKit (rekonq, arora) and GTKWebKit (surf)

This is correct behavior, and it matches Firefox.

For whatever reason, an explanation only appears if you Ctrl-click (or maybe right-click) on content: "ATTENTION: Content protected! If you wish to access the source of this content, refer to the official website of the scholarship provider. The link is found at the bottom of every post. Thank you."

I guess they just have a transparent overlay with onclick, or something like that.
