Works in chrome: https://codepen.io/propjockey/pen/ZYpazoP/d8312a32008a748a28a02385ef3e3f7e?editors=1100 the "before width" value should stay 20 when the view width changes additionally, the view timeline var "--right", used in the "before width" calculation cannot be used in a counter The calculations work initially and SOMETIMES flash with the correct value for one moment while resizing, before voiding back to 0. thank you

I am able to reproduce, while trying to resize on Safari, it starts to modify / update before width, while Chrome Canary does not.
