Description Tor Arne Vestbø 2009-09-18 07:34:27 PDT
This bug report originated from issue QTBUG-3569
<http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-3569>

--- Description ---

Consider the following:

* Run Qt Demo Browser
* Japanese text can be input to the Google search field in the top right corner of the browser.
* Go to youtube.com.
* Japanese text cannot be input either into the Google search field or into the YouTube search field because input methods does not work. This seems to happen only after the Flash plugin has been loaded.

This was reported to occur on Kubuntu 8.04 using kinput2, but has also been reported to occur with SCIM and iBus..
Comment 1 Jocelyn Turcotte 2010-03-17 11:32:02 PDT
Could not reproduce on Windows 7 with Qt 4.7 and WebKit r55520

Changing the platform to Linux.
Comment 2 Simon Hausmann 2010-03-17 15:25:33 PDT
This is likely a Qt/X11 specific issue with the input methods (QX11Embed vs. XIM input method vs. QApplication). Denis might know if this is fixed already in Qt.
