For a few weeks now, all nightlies that I try out for Safari 4 Beta (4.528.16.0) result in an error message on starting:

Procedure entry point "CGContextSetFontSmoothingContrast" not found in library CoreGraphics.dll

CoreGraphics.dll is 1.0.45.0 dated August 18th, 2008, latest Windows Nightly is 42161.

I'm not sure in which extent this is an issue of the WebKit but maybe you can provide a solution or create a workaround.

I am unable to reproduce this bug. I can run the r42161 nightly with Safari 4 Public Beta. I have a C:\Program Files\Safari\CoreGraphics.dll marked as version 1.0.45.0 (Copyright 2006-2009 Apple Inc.), time stamped 2009-02-19, size 3,719,168 bytes.

You made me check whether this is problem of the installation. And indeed CoreGraphics.dll was not replaced by the Public Beta 4 installation over an older version of Safari/repair task. After a complete reinstallation this issue is solved.
