Bug 178040
HTML5 Media Element default controls do not work if JavaScript is disabled
https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=178040
Summary
HTML5 Media Element default controls do not work if JavaScript is disabled
James Craig
Reported
2017-10-06 18:29:52 PDT
Disable JavaScript and load this page:
https://www.w3.org/2010/05/video/mediaevents.html
No way to play the video. Videos should be playable by the user even if JavaScript is disabled. (Disabling JavaScript in the tab should not disable it in the <video> element's shadow DOM)

This is one specific instance of a larger problem. There's some related discussion in
bug #192753
.
