The crash occurs randomly ( see the attached crash report ) even on the minimal test case ( http://codepen.io/gabrieleromanato/full/BFCmJ ).
This behavior is common to Safari 7.x, Maxthon and older Chrome versions (prior to Blink).


if you need an independent static page for the minimal test just let me know.

This crash does  happen for me in the latest Safari, but it doesn't happen in the latest WebKit nightly. So it looks like it has already been fixed. Dirk, can you confirm?

Thanks a lot, the problem was fixed quite some time ago in WebKit. It is up to Apple to apply it to the current Safari version.
