After interacting with a QuickTime plugin seems to cause mouse events - css :hover, onmouseover, etc - to stop. It doesn't seem to effect plugins other than Quicktime, but WMV's with Flip4Mac are effected. This happens in Safari 2.0.4 (419.3/WebKit 418.9.1) as well as ToT. To reproduce: 1. Load the testcase and hover over the link below the video - the :hover styling is applied correctly and the onmouseover fires. 2. Click to start the video. 3. Hover over the link again, :hover and onmouseover do not work. 4. Click in the blank area - :hover and onmouseover work again.

NPAPI plugin support is now gone and along with all the quirks and oddities. Can this be marked as "RESOLVED WONTFIX"? Thanks!

Yup, nothing to do here.
