Bug 98261 – Crash when typing a search query in GMail

When attempting to fill in the search field in Gmail, Webkit spontaneously refreshes the page - usually after a word or two have been entered but before the entire query is completed - resulting in the inability to search (unless you only have one or two short search terms and are a fast typist!).

Could you please attach a screen recording (can be made with QuickTime Player)? I'm not sure if I'm seeing anything like this with latest WebKit nightly.

Wasn't sure the best format to use- I hope this works.

At no time during the movie do I hit 'Return' or any other key to submit my search query. The lags in response time while Gmail reloads are longer than usual in the movie - they can sometimes be almost as quick as a normal refresh.

I can now reproduce with Safari 6 on Mountain Lion - this is actually a WebProcess crash, obfuscated by the way Safari 5.1 used to handle those.
