Instead of trying Wenguang's steps to repro, try this: 1) open http://cbotdataexchange.if5.com/Helpfaq.aspx 2) scroll the page down so that the last of the visible content of the page is right at the top of the webview. 3) minimize the safari window, and then bring it back. -> content is visible. I'm going to put this out on Bugzilla since this needs a reduction.

With JavaScript disabled, the page looks very different (and the bug cannot be reproduced).

Created attachment 8717 [details] Reduction This reduction is somewhat sensitive to window dimensions. You should size your window so that most text fits inside it. Then scroll all the way down. The rest of the text will not show. Then Select All (or switch to a different tab and back) to force repainting of the missing text.

Created attachment 9285 [details] Concept There need to be notions of floats' top and bottom that take overflow into account, in addition to startY and endY. This patch is all wrong and incomplete, but it fixes the test case (can't access the URL) and similar cases.
