Not sure that it was a WebKit problem, but I haven't had much trouble with complete system freezes in the recent past. This was a total freeze. No mouse cursor, no USB response, no response to anything but the power button. Unfortunately I hadn't saved work in a website I was building, so lost a couple of hours worth of work :-( ... live and learn (again). I was editing a message field on a membership forum site that I sometimes use. Haven't had any such trouble in the past.
I am using the first (only?) Thursday "nightly", recently downloaded.
Keep up the great work. I was using WebKit instead of the normal Safari version to document the Web Inspector for a page I'm putting together about tools for (primarily) Mac-using web developers. I look forward to seeing its development blossom as well as any other nice tools (Javascript debugger?)
Regards,
Lowell

WebKit should not be able to freeze the whole system, so if this happens, it's an OS bug, or a hardware problem.
If this still happens for you, please file a bug via <http://bugreport.apple.com> for Apple engineers to take a look. Unfortunately, I don't know what additional information is needed to debug such an issue - but it's very likely that additional information will be needed.
