If you have two background-image gradients, one vertical and one horizontal, and add a css animation for the background-position property, then if the vertical gradient is applied last the animation will not occur. If it is applied first then it does occur. This issue does not occur in other browsers e.g. Firefox.

I am not able to reproduce this bug in Safari 16 and Safari Technical Preview 154 and both do animate with vertical gradients and it is similar with other browsers (Chrome Canary 108 and Firefox Nightly 107). I am marking this as "RESOLVED CONFIGURATION CHANGED". Please reopen if this is reproducible with updated test case. Thanks!
