In order to optimistically draw LCD rendered text in Skia, we need to track the text regions that are drawn. If LCD text is drawn on a layer and it turns out that layer can't support LCD text (transform that is more than just an integral translation, for instance), the parts of the layer that contain LCD text need to be repainted. It's possible to just redraw the entire layer, but that seems really expensive and easily preventable.
