Created attachment 136987 [details] Plugin for "application/vnd.pluginbug" that will show alerts for mouse-down and command-keys Plugins can show dialogs, and Safari appears to be in a modal wait loop... but only if the dialog is shown via a mouse-click to the plugin. If the dialog is shown via a command-key, Safari 5.1.5 (and the 04/12/2012 nightly) kills the plugin after 45 seconds. The attached plugin will trigger on files of mime type application/vnd.pluginbug. Mouse-down will show an alert, and that will stay forever. Any command key (I use command-K) will show the same alert with different wording, and that will be killed after 45 seconds. For the nightlies, disabling the disablePluginProcess also disables this killing.
