In FaceBook you can edit a note. You can add hyperlinks to a note by framing words with html coding of <a href="">...</a> - hoping this shows up. If you do this in Safari it hangs. If you do it in other browsers it just works. It used to just work in Safari but for the past few months the nightly builds have done this. The official release of Safari does not do this.

I mean in nightly builds of webkit it used to just work but for months it has not worked.

Could you please attach a spin log of a frozen process, made with Activity Monitor? I don't use Facebook, and cannot reproduce myself.

I can't reproduce in Safari 5.1.3 or in TOT WebKit.

Agreed the problem disappeared. Note this behavior was persistent for some time through many browser resets. Not sure what cleared it up.
