Description Mike 2012-01-11 06:25:36 PST
I initially thought chrome was an excellent alternative to firefox because javascript is heavily used on all web pages these days. Chrome seems to be the best at loading JS pages. However, I must keep firefox as a secondary browser because chrome just can't deal with developer issues. And I am sure a few end-users are missing web content as well but just aren't aware that chrome is the culprit.

2 issues have been a thorn in my side for a while now, and for quite some time too...

1. CPANEL - The file upload feature in file manager of cpanel is not usable with chrome in any version or any platform.
2. JOOMLA - I can't install modules when using chrome. probably issue with uploading as well.

There have been other issues here an there in general usage. But the bottom line is, you cant just use chrome as your only browser. The reason I keep using it for now is that my system resources are fairly low and it seems to manage memory a little better than firefox.

After I send this report I now have to fire up firefox so I can work on one of my joomla projects.

Your frustration is understandable, however please note that to address the issues, we need more detailed explanations of what's wrong. Typically, this means one issue per bug report, as each reported issue often requires back and forth exchange for clarification, and doing it all in one bug quickly gets confusing.

Please file separate bugs for every issue you'd like fixed. You can also consider filing them via http://crbug.com/ first, so that Chromium developers could triage which of them are Chromium specific, and which come from WebKit.
