I have come up with a solution that does not involve OS-specific changes and will attach the corresponding strawman proposal shortly. We need to emulate not only the device resolution but also other metrics, like the font scale factor (e.g., Android magnifies fonts when displaying pages.) That's why the patch includes the corresponding protocol changes, too.
