when resizing a browser window in safari, the resizing is very slow, and horrible peformance just load up the referenced page and resize the browser window

This is slow on my laptop (1.25ghz G4 PB). I'll attach a sample.

Performance is actually much better on TOT, but still slower than normal page resize.

It's actually spending more time drawing text (30%)... but 20% of the time is spent drawing the background images.
