The same happens in TextEdit in Mac OS X 10.6.7. WebKit relies on the operating system to hyphenate, so addressing this issue is outside the scope of the WebKit Open Source project.

I have filed the above bug against Mac OS X. Resolving this one as invalid per comment #1. Thanks for reporting this!
