For example, compare css2.1/t0905-c414-flt-02-c.html between Firefox and Safari. For ⇨. Safari picks Hiragino Mincho ProN W3 to render this glyph whereas Firefox picks Apple Symbols. Since these tests are using arrow glyphs for expository purposes, the a symbols font seems to make more sense than a Japanese font.
