Unlike Firefox (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=337344), IE and Google Chrome...Safari does not show or give an option/preference setting to show the address bar on popups when opened with showModalDialog.
This causes inconsistency in modal popup sizing due to additional chrome width on other browsers and not Safari. Also showing the address location bar makes it harder for chrome spoofing - same reason for the bug for firefox linked above.

Window chrome is something that Safari displays, not WebKit. Closing the bug as INVALID as a non-WebKit issue. It will continue to be tracked by Apple internally.
Thank you for the report!

The fix for this issue was needed outside the WebKit project, therefore this is being resolved as 'Moved'.
This should now be fixed in shipping software.
