Created attachment 64789 [details] test case Gecko/Opera don't focus text controls when you set selectionStart/selectionEnd and IE doesn't have this API. Seems like we should match if possible.

I am able to reproduce this bug in WebKit ToT (259906@main), it does focus and show caret in the textarea using attached testcase while Chrome Canary 112 and Firefox Nightly 111 does not focus textarea. Just wanted to share updated test results and add "BrowserCompat" keyword.
