disturbing green box effect - appearing multiple times under another none

Description Christian Junker 2005-08-10 17:24:27 PDT
One of the nice features of Gmail is its so called conversation view, which groups mails with the same
subject. The problem Safari has with this view, is that it does not show up the colored item to the right
correctly. Usually if you read someone's first mail in a conversation you see a small visual box at the right
with the name of the next person answering to this thread in it.
Safari doesn't render this item correctly, it does render it 20 times piled up.

It's hard to describe, but I will attach a screenshot for it shortly.

the normal behavior in browsers like Mozilla or IE is that the green visual
boxes at the right would all be 1 single box with the name in it (that is the
normal behavior).

this happens to me (with 2.0 and CVS ToT) when I drag the vertical scrollbar on a long conversation that is
fully expanded, but only if my browser window is wide enough not to requive a horiz. scrollbar.

I poked around looking for the javascript they were using to place that, but I haven't reduced the problem
yet.

confirmed. has to be wide enough to not have horizontal scrollbar for me as well.
