It would be nice if we could pass arguments (urls, etc) to run-safari and run-webkit-app

Comment on attachment 3194 [details] patch to implement suggest Sure, patch looks fine. It's a little strange that extra parameters to run-webkit-app get passed to "open" and extra parameters to run-safari get passed directly to the Safari application, but in both cases it's probably useful.
